Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Bert Marcus Directed The Five Part Critically Acclaimed Mini-Series, Available In Its Entirety For The First Time on Pay Per View or FREE with Triller Fight Club PPV Purchase
(Los Angeles, April 16, 2021)- Triller Fight Club today announced that “PRBLM CHILD” the raw, all-access look into the life of one of the world’s most polarizing and controversial personalities, YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, is now available exclusively in its entirety on FITE. The five part series had been available on an episodic basis on TrillerFiteClub.com, but due to popular demand, will now be released at once via pay per view purchase or included at no cost with the PPV purchase of the 4-17 Triller Fight Club: Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren event on FITE. Triller Fight Club is a partnership between Triller and Snoop Dogg and is spearheaded by Ryan Kavanaugh.
Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Bert Marcus directed the series, which has drawn rave reviews for its intensity and its depth of character. Hailed by Forbes as “American culture’s great storyteller,” Marcus is known for the critically acclaimed Netflix hit “The American Meme,” HBO’s Emmy award-winning “The Apollo,” and the Cannes Film Festival favorite “Bull.” Along with Marcus, Malea Rose also oversees and executes Triller Fight Club’s overall creative vision.
The short form series takes fans deep inside the life of Paul in the leadup to his fight with Ben Askren, who was a champion in Bellator and ONE Championship and in 2019 fought three times in the UFC. Askren is a two-time NCAA champion and an Olympian in wrestling. When he steps in the ring with Paul on April 17, it will be Askren’s boxing debut. The series also will include boxing legends Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Ryan Garcia, Jorge Masvidal and Snoop Dogg, among many more.
The 24-year-old Paul has pivoted from his unparalleled rise as an Internet star to make waves as a disruptive force in the boxing world. Since his debut in January 2020, when he defeated fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib (real name Ali Loui Al-Fakhri), via first-round TKO, his commitment and interest in the athletic world and its business has continued to grow. He followed that fight with a second-round knockout of former NBA player and three-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion Nate Robinson in November, further cementing his legitimacy in the ring. Since then, Paul has expanded his circle even further, drawing the attention of elite athletes and professional fighters like Floyd Mayweather Jr., who is one of several fighters to call him out for an upcoming fight.
In addition to being a co-owner, Snoop also provides strategic counsel to Triller Fight Club, helping to select fighters and musical acts for the show-stopping events. An entertainment expert who has successfully maneuvered through a range of projects in a variety of different fields, Snoop secured his spot as a fan favorite during Triller’s first sporting event, Tyson vs. Jones in November of 2020.
